A Fun-Filled Western Adventure and Dunton Hot Springs Wedding Celebration

Oh, 2020. I feel like that sentence will be uttered for a long time. Michael and Todd had grand plans of an International elopement- but 2020 was what it was so they opted for a small and personal wedding in the Windy City.

But adventure called to them and in lieu of a European adventure they decided to see the best of the western US and have an adventure that was a little big rugged, and little bit bougie, and EXTREMELY fun. So this trip turned into a Moab and Dunton Hot Springs wedding celebration-while they were already married, we celebrated plenty 🙂

We started our adventures in the National Parks near Moab- hiking and scrambling and generally moving a lot to keep from getting cold. Then we drove east into Colorado to one of the most incredible elopement venues I’ve ever seen- Dunton Hot Springs. Adventure meets Luxury in this little resort tucked in an alpine valley of the San Juan Mountains. Boasting snowshoeing, ice climbing, cross country skiing, and of course, the most amazing hot springs ever- Dunton is one of the coolest places I’ve had the privilege of being. PRO TIP: If you want your elopement to be a little bit fancy and a little bit adventure- Dunton Hot Springs is that. And if you’re wanting a winter wonderland wedding? I can’t imagine a better place.

ANYWAY now that I’ve gushed about Dunton, on to the photos of Michael and Todd 🙂 We had a constant blast during this adventure. So much silliness and so much love. And spoiler alert: there is an absolutely EPIC snow ball fight that happens. All it took was the merest *suggestion* and an all out snow war broke out. Even I didn’t escape unscathed- I fell into a snowy ditch right as we were heading back inside. Michael and Todd were HIGHlY amused (see if you can spot those photos in particular).
