Page Arizona Adventure Session | Michael + Todd Part II

And now we head north for Part II of Michael and Todd’s epic Arizona Adventure Session! (If you haven’t seen Part I, check it out here!)

Michael and Todd really wanted to see Antelope Canyon during their trip, so I tagged along for a group tour (note: the group tours in Antelope are crazy crowded and not suitable for a photo session. I was tagging along and honestly in tourist mode, but I’m including a few images here because it was part of their adventure 🙂 If Antelope canyon is a spot you’d want to elope to, you would need a private tour. Or even utilize a different, just as beautiful slot canyon.)

After that, we gorged ourselves on chips and tacos at El Tapatio and, having some time to kill before sunset, took Michael and Todd out for an off-roading adventure that actually dipped its toe into the Utah wilderness. I was doing the driving so no photos (this part was all about the experience) except we saw a herd of bighorned sheep, so I stopped to snag a picture …of them running away, haha. Note: we stayed in the car to watch them. Super important not to disturb or bother wildlife!

With the sun starting to creep towards the horizon, we started to head South to Horseshoe Bend. Horseshoe Bend is an INCREDIBLE feature in the Arizona desert. Also thanks to instagram and social media, it’s also become crazy popular in the last few years. Even between my winter and spring visits huge changes occurred. Years ago it was a little Page AZ secret and now there’s a massive parking lot, pay booths for entry, the most incredible row of port-o-potty’s I’d ever seen, and gobs of tourists.

I want to be clear here; I am not saying don’t go to Horseshoe Bend. It’s an amaaaaazing place worthy of being seen. And if you have your heart set on an Arizona adventure session or elopement there, DO IT. Just know you’ll be sharing the space 🙂

One of my favorite moments as an elopement photographer is getting to see places anew through my couple’s eyes. When Michael and Todd saw horseshoe, the first thing they did was just sit, stare, and drink it all in. It’s so fun to see the awe on people’s faces and get to document such wonder and discovery.

Me: Is *Todd* ticklish?

To say a blast was had is an understatement. Joy, wonder, love, play… it was the *best* day. A Peak Existence day for the books.
