When you plan a Yosemite Winter Wedding sometimes there is snow and sometimes there… isn’t. Mother Nature- she is fickle.
While there was less snow then expected, we still found pockets here and there around the valley, and the golden grass dotted with patches of white truly made for the loveliest backdrop for this elopement. And get iconic spots literally all to ourselves? Ah, off-season. I love you.
I got to wander around Yosemite Valley with C + S, enjoying meadows and the Merced River before sunset. Yosemite is a place that C + S really love, but had never been in winter, so getting to bond over our shared love of the park was really special.
We parted ways for the evening before meeting up to enjoy sunrise over Half Dome, then made our way to a truly epic view of El Capitan for the couples ceremony with loved ones. El Cap *barely* fits in the frame of a photo- it was such incredible vibes having the ceremony under the famous big wall.
It was such an honor to have been part of this day, truly. And winter in Yosemite? I see you. Chances are high that I’ll be back 🙂
