Castle Valley Elopement Full of Personal Touches

Sometimes folks elope in a place because it is already special. Others elope somewhere because it *already is* special. Both are beautiful and magical, but when I first talked with F + D, and F talked about how much she loved Moab, how much the vast red rocks and valleys meant to her, how much Castle Valley had been woven into the fabric of her life… it truly was so so special.⁠ So it made sense that F + D wanted a Castle Valley elopement.

F + D really leaned on intention and doing what was special and true to them. From the details (like F’s RAD ring and dip dyed veil to match- so freaking cool) to a photo of their beloved dog present for the activities, to playing songs, readings, and prayers from loved ones during their ceremony, to shots of whiskey, to ending their day under the stars… every decision was centered around what they wanted, what was true to them, and what honored them as individuals and as a couple.⁠ Not a “should” anywhere to be found in this Castle Valley elopement- only what was true and real for F + D.

It was *such* an honor to witness. And F + D had so. much. fun. during the whole day. As we wrapped up our adventures after some truly incredible stargazing- F said “There wasn’t a single moment of today where I was stressed. The whole day was just amazing.” My heart did a little happy dance. Such a special day. And genuinely- I love Moab. So so much. So being able to connect with folks who love the desert and love Moab too? So special. ⁠
