What an incredible day. I’ve been working with A + L for quiiiiite a while, and getting to be privy to the intentional and stoked way they approached their day was so rad to witness. They wanted a chill day with epic views, and wanted to share it all with their immediate family. And their Glacier National Park wedding was all that and more.
L + A eloped in September, something of a crapshoot weather wise in the park. We didn’t have to deal with the parks reservation system, but that meant some added congestion and there’s always the threat of wildfire smoke. And indeed, as I drove through Montana, the entire state was blanketed in a think layer of smoke. But! We got so lucky because the day before (while I was scouting) a front moved through, kicking up high winds and total clearing all the smoke out of the park. Their day dawned sunny and warm, the smokey veil on the incredible mountains that make up Glacier National Park totally lifted.
A + L got ready separately with their loved ones before a sweet and private first look outside their (amazing) hotel (PRO TIP: Staying in this hotel grants you guaranteed access to certain parts of the park. I loved staying on this side of Glacier then hopping over to the Going to the Sun road after). Then we walked as a group down to the shores of the glacier fed lake for a sweet ceremony.
Afterwards A + L changed into traditional Algerian attire and celebrated with (freaking DELICIOUS) cake, toasts, and spontaneous dancing with family.
Then we set out deeper into the park to explore some more epic views and take in sunset (spotting mountain goats, big horn sheep and bears during our drive!) then wrung out the last drop of the day with some lantern photos in a very iconic location (where we made tons of noise as all of us were nervous about bears haha).
It was an incredible day. I honestly can’t say I can imagine a better Glacier national park wedding- And I’ll say too, it was my first time in Glacier National Park (which is why I arrived early to prepare. I’ve photographed over 100 elopements, so feel comfortable photographing elopements in never-before-visited national parks). I kind of expected to be impressed by the beauty, but not feel compelled to make it a staple in my work schedule. WELL. That was totally wrong. I fell for this park hard. And am very excited to say that it will be added to my 2026 elopement rotation 🙂
That’s enough chit-chat! Let’s see the photos, shall we? I’m excited to share these- proud of this one, friends.

“Booking with Aimee was truly the best wedding decision we made, aside from our choice to elope in Glacier NP. Although she describes herself as an elopement photographer, she is so much more than that. She was instrumental in planning our big day; doing extensive research and scouting beforehand as well as creating a beautiful timeline which allowed our day to run seamlessly without feeling rushed or stressed. Aimee was a blast to work with, and her enthusiasm for what she does is incredible. She often said “ok this is going to sound crazy but…” and that’s when she had the most amazing ideas. Our photos are absolutely stunning, truly a work of art that capture the happiness and adventure of our elopement day. We would book her a million times over again.”
