Teagan and Teagan (yes, I’m being completely serious) had never seen Sedona before. Teagan (a wedding planner for adventurous couples), had just moved to Prescott from California like, the day before our shoot, because who doesn’t want to spend their first Saturday in Arizona waking up before dawn for a Sedona Adventure Wedding shoot?
To put it lightly, Teagan and Teagan are my kind of people.
Sir Teagan was already living in Prescott and Lady Teagan (I’m using titles here for clarity sake) just made the jump into van-life and is renovating her van while living next to one of my favorite spots in Arizona. It was so fun listening about that adventure, and listen to the two of them rave about Yosemite (making my wanderlust-y heart ache!) and talk about their favorite places to wander and explore.
Which made sharing Sedona, one of my all-time favorite spots to explore, SO FUN. It was a freaking delight watching them, as the sun came up, get see Sedona for the very fist time. There is nothing like that, getting to see a fantastic place for the first time, and though I’ve seen Sedona in all it’s shades, the second-hand stoke was real. And sunrise is, in my opinion, not just the best time for an elopement, but also the best time to see Sedona. Period. It’s a popular place and for good reason, but that early in the day, even on a Saturday, it’s easy to feel like you’re the only people for miles. Ha, cause you are!
The day was magic. These two love to laugh and goof off and have fun which meant we spent most of the day cracking up and ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the landscape around us. We even saw hot air balloon’s in the distance juuuust as the sun came up (pro tip! this would be a great elopement activity!)
Also they were total champs in the first cold snap of the season. Northern Arizona can get pretty cold, especially without the sun as a helper, but Teagan and Teagan smiled through the chill… and became wise to the wonder that are hand warmers. 😉 Honestly, I couldn’t ask for better folks to spend an early morning with.
Love this Sedona Adventure Wedding inspo as much as me? Check out this vow renewal and this adventure session for more amazing red rock beauty. And! I’ve created a Sedona Elopement Planning Guide because Sedona is really *that amazing* of an elopement destination.
